The numedix.com Process
numedix.com self-study courses are easy. It only takes a simple four-step process:
One. Browse, shop & order online. Orders usually shipped within 24 hours via 2-3 day USPS Priority Mail.
Two. Use the referenced publication to complete the continuing education exam (consisting of multiple choice questions).
Three. Submit your exam answers via online,
email or FAX (800.973.2129). 
Four. Within 3 business days, received your continuing education certificate via online 

* Minimum score of 70% required for award; complimentary re-test available. CE units are awarded on the date of the fax, email, postmark, or online submission.

General FAQs
Do your courses have expiration dates?

No. You may submit your exams at any time, but we do encourage professionals to submit their exams within 5 years of receipt.

How much are shipping charges? 

Shipping is FREE--anywhere--domestic and international! 

What type of shipping method is used?
Courses are now sent via "two part shipping":
1. Reference publication/book: Ships directly from the distributor or publisher.  Domestic delivery within 2-3 days.  For American Dietetic Association publications, expect delivery within 7-10 days.  Ships to PO boxes.

2. Continuing education exam: Sent to you via "Download on Demand"--emailed to you within minutes of placing your order.

Orders for "continuing education exam only"
will be sent via "Download on Demand".  You must have access to the reference publication/book to successfully complete the exam.

Can I track my order?
Yes. Contact custserv@numedix.com, and we will provide you information about your shipping status.

You can start earning continuing education as soon as you order!  Within minutes after ordering a continuing education exam only, you will receive an email, with download instructions.  Exams are available in pdf format; this requires that you hava Adobe Reader installed on your computer.  Obtain a free copy of Adobe Reader by
clicking here.

What type of payment do you accept?
We accept MC, Visa, Discover & AMEX. For verification purposes, the billing address you entered must match the address where you receive your credit card statement. We also accept purchase orders from institutions (i.e., universities, hospitals, corporations, etc.).  Please fax your order form or purchase order to us at 800.973.2129. 

Is sales tax added to my order?
Customers with a mailing address located in CA will be charged 8.25% sales tax during checkout. For all other residents, sales tax does not apply.

What is your return policy?
Our return policy is simple. Within 30 days of receipt of this shipment you may return any product in its original condiiton. We will issue a full refund for the price of any item you return that meets these conditions. We can only refund shipping costs if the return is a result of our error. When returning your course, please include a copy of your sales receipt or invoice, and information (account no., expiration date, billing address) for the credit card that was used to place the order.

Dietetic Professional Portfolio FAQs
What does it mean when courses are rated according to CPE level
?

The Commission on Dietetic Registration defines CPE according to the following levels:
Level 1: Little or no prior knowledge of the area(s) covered. The focus of the activity is to increase your core knowledge.
Level 2: General knowledge of literature and professional practice in the area(s) covered. The focus of the activity is to enhance our knowledge and application in this area.
Level 3: Thorough knowledge of the literature and professional practice within the area(s) covered. The focus of the activity is synthesis of recent advances and future directions.

How do I know if a course satisfies a specific Learning Need Code?
It is the sole responsibility of the dietetic professional to determine the learning need code met by a course. numedix.com "suggested" codes for each course, but the professional can deviate from them if they feel another need is met.

What type of courses are these?
According to the Commission on Dietetic Registration, these are "720" courses, otherwise referred to as printed, self-study courses.

How many CPEUs can I earn in my 5-year registration period from self-study courses?
All CPEUs can be earned through self-study courses. In other words, Registered Dietitians can earn all required 75 CPEUs and Registered Diet Technicians can earn all 50 CPEUs required within their 5-year renewal period using numedix.com courses.

Athletic Trainer FAQs
Several of our Sports Performance courses are proved by NATA, for Category A.  You may also earn up to 20 CEU from other numedix.com courses during your renewal period, which are classified under Category D.
